Our story

In the lively scene of 1970s Taipei, Taiwan, Ning Chi stood out as the first and only Sichuan hot pot spot, tracing its origins back to a unique start in 1973. Mr. Ning, the creative mind behind this culinary treasure, had moved from Sichuan, China during the Chinese Civil War and began with a simple beef noodle soup stand. As a Sichuan native, he spiced things up by adding local ingredients, turning it into the distinct hot pot experience that won over locals. Beyond just tasty food, Ning Chi became a comforting place for Chinese migrants, offering a familiar taste of home during tough times.

How Ning Chi came to be

As the sustained interest in Ning Chi became evident, it naturally evolved into a thriving franchise, establishing numerous stores across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China.
